Frame the future of luxury

Silverlining are a company with an eye on the future. In a market challenged by mass production and disposability, their furniture embodies the integrity and craftsmanship first set in motion by Chippendale.

In their latest project, Future Perfect, the furniture maker sets out a manifesto for 21st century craftsmanship. Comprised of a series of conversations between commentators, designers and makers - and illustrated by a collection of 6 limited edition furniture pieces - the book explores the issues of provenance, quality and longevity.

Reveal hidden depths

Is beauty only skin deep? At a glance, it's clear to see the level of craft - the attention to detail that typifies Silverlining's work. A look below the fine veneers though, would reveal innovative engineering more at home in F1 and an uncompromised truth in materials.

In completing their latest project, Silverlining wanted to document the process from inception to installation, exposing the thinking, passion and determination that goes into each piece. The Journey of Palladium is the story of a single project that saw 66 unique pieces of hand-made furniture installed aboard Palladium, an exquisite 96m motor yacht.

Make your friends jealous of your coffee table.

Over the last 25 years, Silverlining has created furniture by hand, using techniques that are dying out elsewhere. Pioneers of original design, they've earned a reputation for skilled craftsmanship and innovation in materials. Their exacting standards were carried through to the design and production of a limited-edition book, celebrating their heritage and process. The book is used as a sales tool, taking a prospective client on the journey from commission, through consultation, to the making of an exceptional piece of furniture.
