Repositioning a B2B product from industrial coating to cutting edge technology

Paint is killing the planet. AERO is pioneering a path to a greener future with their game changing alternative. They came to us with an incredible product and a goal to get in front of world-leading innovators for automotive~. But they were struggling to engage with a design-led audience. To help them connect, we repositioned AERO from a film-based coating manufacturer to a sustainable material technology company with the brand idea ‘engineered from the molecule up’, and a confident new identity.

AERO’s old brand felt tired, dated and lacked environmental cues.

We upgraded the entire identity, making it feel modern, bold and dynamic, flexing seamlessly across digital and physical. Seeing the potential scale of positive environmental change AERO can make in automotive, we wanted to elevate the environmental cues, whilst delivering a brand that feels scientific, effective and slick.


To elevate AERO’s game-changing environmental benefits, we accented a monochrome palette with attention-grabbing lime green.


This is a complex product solving a serious problem, particularly within the automotive industry. AERO’s brand needed to feel impactful, immediate and communicate the benefits clearly.


Inspired by references from tech, science and data graphics, these icons make the benefits more engaging and digestible.

To give the brand a modern feel, we created an amorphous text mesh to represent the highly sophisticated material technology that makes AERO unique.
